Pathway Christmas Ministry
The Circle of Friends have ministered to the Pathway House from time to time. They have received the list of 17 boys that will have no Christmas Presents this year. The names will be available at church so that we can select a name and bring gifts for the boys. The boys have given ideas of what they would like and sizes. Let’s get behind this ministry and work with the Circle of Friends to make a difference in the lives of these boys. More will come later. Thank you Circle of Friends for leading out in this ministry.
Wednesday Family Dinner
The Wednesday Family Dinner for November 1 will be a baked potato bar. Thank you Wednesday Supper Committee for all of your work.
Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Different leaders of the church are leading the Wednesday Prayer Meeting. Continue to pray for them and come out and support them.
Thanksgiving Ministry
Last year we provided Thanksgiving meals for several people on a list. We are going to do this again this year instead of having a Church wide Thanksgiving meal. You will hear more about this next week. Thanks to Jackie Jerrell for leading out in this ministry. You will have opportunities to sign up to provide parts of the meal shortly.
Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is this Saturday. Beginning at 4 PM, Alfred McLean’s band will be presenting a concert to begin the time of fellowship and worship. The remainder of the program begins at 5:00 PM. We will have a chili cook off. Come and enjoy the great day of fellowship we have each year.
Men’s Prayer Time
The men meet each Sunday at 9:15 AM for a time of prayer. Please make a special effort to attend the Men’s Prayer Time. During this transition time, we especially need the leadership of our Lord. This is His church. Come on out men.
Richie Carr on the Grow Program
The Deacons have been revising the Grow Teams. The first team should begin visitation on the first Tuesday in November. This team will be lead by Poncho Madkins. We have not changed the structure of the Grow Program. It will still consist of 4 teams and each team will be assigned to a certain week. The fifth week will be all the teams. If you feel led to participate in the grow program please let one of the Deacons know which week you desire. We are still in need of people.
Prayer Ministry
Please remember the following in prayer:
Deacons Church Services
Pastor Search Committee Elections
Our National Leaders Our military and families
CLOSING NOTE:
There are still some open slots to help with the Fall Festival. They will be decorating the church on Saturday morning. Let’s all pull together to make the Fall Festival a great time for our children and church family. Contact Alesha Blevins for more information about how you can help.
