Who was Lottie Moon?
A kingdom-focused life
Lottie Moon - the namesake of the international missions offering - has become something of a legend to us. But in her time Lottie was anything but an untouchable hero. In fact, she was like today's missionaries. She was a hard-working, deep-loving Southern Baptist who labored tirelessly so her people group could know Jesus.
Why was the offering named for this early China missionary? Throughout her career, Lottie Moon wrote numerous letters home, urging Southern Baptists to greater missions involvement and support. One of those letters triggered Southern Baptists' first Christmas offering for international missions - enough to send three new missionaries to China.

Lottie Moon Offering:
Each Sunday School class needs to set their class Lottie Moon Offering Goal. The church goal is $5,000. Pray and ask the Lord about your part in this offering. Sunday School classes should keep track of their gifts. They will announce their offering on December 3rd.

Fall Festival
The Fall Festival was a great experience. Thank you to the Recreation Committee and Chairperson Alesha Blevins for their work. Also, thanks to all of her helpers. Finally, Alfred McLean and his band blessed our hearts with a concert. Thanks to all.
Christmas Cantatas
Both the Children’s Choir and the Adult Choir are currently working on their Christmas Cantata. If you have children that should be in the Children’s Choir, please have them at church at 5:00 PM each Sunday for practice. Their cantata is December 3 in the morning service.
The adult cantata is December 17 in the morning service. Rehearsal is each Sunday at 4:00 PM. Please come out and support the music ministry.
Pathway Christmas Ministry
The Circle of Friends has ministered to the Pathway House from time to time. They have received the list of 17 boys that will have no Christmas presents this year. The names are available at church so that we can select a name and bring gifts for the boys. The boys have given ideas of what they would like and sizes. Let’s get behind this ministry and work with the Circle of Friends to make a difference in the lives of these boys. Please sign the sheet by the tree so that we will know whom you have taken off of the tree. Thank you Circle of Friends for leading out in this ministry.
Wednesday Family Dinner
The Wednesday Family Dinner for November 8 will be macaroni and cheese with ham. Thank you Wednesday Supper Committee for all of your work.
Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Different leaders of the church are leading the Wednesday Prayer Meeting. Continue to pray for them and come out and support them.

The Enterprise High School Band received the Mayor’s Award at Andalusia last week. They won overall in almost every category. Andrew Davis is a member of the band.
