Note from Pastor Search Committee

Dear Church Member,

Over the past six weeks, the Pastor Search Committee (PSC) has looked through 93 resumes in our search for the man we will recommend to the congregation as our next pastor. Based upon the profile established by the questionnaire church members completed in October 2006, 46 men have been eliminated in general due to lack of ministry experience. Most of the individuals had little or no experience leading a church as it pastor. Four men have asked not to be included in our search because they have already committed to other opportunities. At this point, there are 38 men that fit the Pastor profile established by Macedonia. Just prior to Christmas, all 38 men were sent a questionnaire requesting additional information about their spiritual lives, their strengths and weakness and anything else they would like us to know. We have received several replies and expect to receive most of them back by the end of January 2007. Over the next couple of weeks, the PCS will begin checking the references of the top candidates in earnest.

Women’s Ministry

“Believing God” Bible study will begin January 10 during prayer meeting. This will be a video series only and will run for 10 weeks after which we will have the book study for 10 weeks. You can pick up your book at Lifeway any time before the video series is completed.

There will be a meeting of Women’s Ministry on January 13, 2007 at 9:00AM – 11:30AM. Barbara Westerbeck and Kathy Wilson will present the program. Bring a brunch dish to share.
