May 13 Bill Warren Baby DedicationThere will be a baby dedication service on Mother’s Day. We have two couples that wish to take part. If you would like to take part or know someone that would, please contact Richie Carr. Wednesday Family SupperWednesday Family Supper is from 5:30 – 6:00PM. The meal for this week is Cheese Nachos and Desert. Sanctuary Flowers If you wish to provide fresh flowers for the sanctuary on Sundays, please sign up for the week you desire on the list by the Secretary’s Office. Thank you for providing such beautiful flowers. Deacon Nominations Deacon nominations were held in the business meeting in April. Pray for the Deacon Screening Committee and Deacon Elections in May. Vacation Bible School This year our VBS will be held June 17-22 from 6-8:30 PM. The VBS motto for 2007 is “Game Day Central – Where Hero’s are Made” – Hebrews 12:1-2. It is a sports theme. Please save any “freebies” you get from your favorite sporting event (shakers, pennants, large drinking cups, etc.) Women’s Ministry Women’s end of year meeting – Thursday, May 17 at 6:00 P.M. We will have a potluck dinner at Barbara Westerbeck’s home. We will also be revealing Secret Sisters. If you are part of the Women’s ministry please make an effort to come and prepare to have FUN! Directions to Barb’s are in the church office. It’s a Boy Congratulations Bobby and Hillary Henderson as they are expecting their first child, a boy. We will have a box in the foyer outside the church office for anyone who would like to give a gift. A Chance to Serve We are in need of a Sunday School Director and a Discipleship Training Director for 2007-2008 church year. If you feel God is calling you to serve in either of these positions please see a member of the Nominating Committee. A Note From Leroy Leroy Lunsford and his family would like to express their deepest gratitude for all of the prayers, cards, calls, visits, flowers and food during Mrs. Margaret’s illness and death. Words cannot express what it means to have friends and a church family like Macedonia. Thank you for all of your love and support.
