Lottie Moon Goal The Lottie Moon Offering Goal is $3,500. Pray for God’s leadership as you give to support Foreign Missions. Adult Discipleship Training This Sunday evening, the Adult class will watch a video dealing with knowledge of sin and the need for salvation. The Pilgrim's Progress from This World to That Which Is to Come by John Bunyan (published, February, 1678) is a Christian allegory. The allegory tells of Christian, an everyman character, who makes his way from the "City of Destruction" (Earth) to the "Celestial City" (Heaven) of Zion. Christian finds himself weighed down by a great burden that he gets from reading a book (obviously the Bible). This burden, which would cause him to sink into Tophet (hell), is Christian's acute, immediate concern that impels him to the crisis of what to do for deliverance. On Nov. 4, 07, we will begin the first section of the MasterLife discipleship course. The Disciple’s Cross will help us learn to experience life in Christ through practicing these six biblical disciplines: spending time with the Master, living in the Word, praying in faith, fellowshipping with believers, witnessing to the world, and ministering to others. Ladies Weekday Bible Study A Ladies Weekday Bible Study is now being held on Mondays from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. See Barbara Westerbeck for more info. Women’s Wednesday Evening Bible Study The Women’s Wednesday Evening Bible Study at 6:30 PM. The study is entitled My Heart, Christ’s Home. See Barbara Westerbeck for details. Nursery and Preschool Workers We are in need of workers for Extended Care and Sunday School. If you feel led to one of these openings, contact Alesha Blevins. Sanctuary Flowers If you wish to provide fresh flowers for the sanctuary on Sundays, please sign up for the week you desire on the list by the Secretary’s Office. Thank you for providing such beautiful flowers. Pathway Christmas Tree Circle of Friends - would like to make everyone aware of the Pathway Christmas Tree on the table in front of the Sunday School office. Pathway is a wilderness treatment center for troubled boys and each year Circle of Friends sponsors some of their Christmas gifts. Please pray and ask the Lord about helping one of these young men to feel the love of Christ on the occasion of His birth.
