Ladies Wednesday Night Bible Study

The Ladies Wednesday Night Bible Study is held at 6:30. The title of this study is “Prepare Your Heart for Easter” No book is necessary. Barbara Westerbeck will be teaching eight lessons from this study that will lead us right up to Easter. We will examine the lives of women who intersected the life of Jesus. We will also learn the significance of Palm Sunday, the Lord’s Supper, Good Friday, Easter, Ascension and Pentecost, plus a whole lot more. Make your plans to be with us.

North Alabama Tornado Victims Assistance

Lee Street Baptist Church located at 630 E. Lee Street is collecting non-perishable items to be taken to North Alabama for tornado victims. Monetary donations will be accepted. Please DO NOT bring clothing or linen items. For more information call Lee Street Baptist Church at 347-4981

The family of A. L Barnard. A. L. passed away this week at Fort Bragg, NC He is the son-in-law of Jo Ann Pickle and the wife of Ruth Ann Barnard.

The family of Jason Weaver. Jason is the son of former members Mike and Angela Weaver and passed away in South Dakota.

The family of Jewell McGee. Jewell passed away at home this week. Remember her family and daughters Sarah, Anna, and Robin.

As of this time, service times for A. L. Barnard and Jewell McGee are incomplete. Services for Jason Weaver will be in South Dakota on Monday.

Work Day

There will be a workday for the inside and outside of the church, on February 23, 2008 at 8:30 A.M. There are still a lot of things that need to be worked on and we ask that each one consider coming out and giving a little of your time to get God’s house in order. What a blessing to be in charge of the care of God’s house!

January Bible Study 2008

On Sunday evening, January 27, 2008, the Adult discipleship training class began an eight-week study of the book of Romans. All adults are invited to participate. If you are interested in studying about God's amazing grace and would like a student's guide, please fill out the book request located in the bulletin and put it in the offering plate. Once we've determined the number of books required, everyone will be told how much the guides will cost.
